About This workshop
This intensive, hands-on workshop introduces participants to the exciting intersection of artificial intelligence, robotics, and urban agriculture. Over a full day, attendees will learn fundamental concepts in machine vision for crop health detection and develop basic control algorithms for small autonomous drones. You will work with open-source hardware platforms and AI libraries to program a miniature robot designed to monitor and water plants in a simulated urban farm environment, applying real-world solutions to sustainable food production challenges. By the end of the session, each participant will have built and programmed their own functional urban farming drone prototype, ready for further experimentation and deployment, gaining valuable skills in a rapidly growing tech sector.
