About This workshop
This immersive intermediate-level workshop delves into the practical applications of Artificial Intelligence and IoT for tackling sustainability challenges unique to the Appalachian region. Participants will gain hands-on experience in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting environmental data using Python-based machine learning models and inexpensive sensor hardware. We'll cover topics such as predictive maintenance for renewable energy systems, optimizing resource usage in local agriculture, and real-time air/water quality monitoring. Attendees will leave with a foundational understanding of how to prototype their own smart sustainable solutions, empowering them to contribute to a greener future for West Virginia.
