About This hackathon
Join us in Ann Arbor for the inaugural Great Lakes Guardian Hack, a groundbreaking event dedicated to leveraging artificial intelligence for the preservation and sustainability of the world's largest freshwater system. Teams will spend a full day developing prototypes, algorithms, and data visualizations that address critical environmental challenges facing the Great Lakes, such as invasive species tracking, real-time pollution detection, and optimizing resource management. Mentors from environmental science, data analytics, and AI engineering will be on hand to guide participants, culminating in presentations to a panel of judges. This is a unique opportunity to apply your tech skills for significant ecological impact and win exciting prizes.
