About This workshop
This immersive workshop will guide participants through the foundational principles and practical applications of IoT technology in agriculture. Attendees will get hands-on experience assembling and programming various environmental sensors, including soil moisture, temperature, and nutrient level detectors, essential for precision farming. We will cover data acquisition methods, basic cloud integration for data storage, and introductory analytics to interpret sensor readings, enabling informed decisions on irrigation, fertilization, and pest control. By the end of the day, participants will have built a functional prototype IoT agricultural monitoring system, equipped with the knowledge to implement these solutions for enhanced farm efficiency and environmental stewardship in Kansas's unique agricultural landscape.
