About This workshop
This intensive one-day workshop will equip participants with practical skills in setting up and managing sensor networks for oceanic and coastal applications. Attendees will explore various types of marine sensors, from water quality probes to acoustic systems, and understand their deployment strategies in challenging environments. The curriculum includes hands-on sessions on data acquisition using microcontrollers, processing raw sensor data, and fusing information from disparate sources to create a comprehensive picture of coastal health and resilience. Participants will gain valuable experience with Python-based tools for data analysis and visualization, culminating in a real-world scenario simulation focusing on mitigating climate change impacts.
