About This workshop
This intensive one-day workshop will equip participants with practical skills in designing, assembling, and deploying Internet of Things (IoT) sensor networks specifically tailored for agricultural applications. Attendees will gain hands-on experience with popular microcontrollers like ESP32, various environmental sensors (soil moisture, temperature, humidity, light), and learn to interface them to collect critical farm data. We will cover fundamental concepts of sensor data acquisition, basic data transmission protocols, and an introduction to visualizing collected data for informed decision-making in sustainable farming practices. Participants will build their own functional prototype IoT device, program it using Python, and understand how to scale these solutions for real-world farm environments, contributing to more efficient resource management and improved crop yields. This workshop is ideal for farmers, agronomists, tech enthusiasts, and students eager to integrate cutting-edge technology into modern agriculture.
