About This workshop
This hands-on workshop dives into the practical application of Internet of Things (IoT) devices and artificial intelligence for precision agriculture and sustainable ranching. Participants will learn how to deploy and configure various sensor technologies—from soil moisture and weather stations to livestock trackers—across large land areas, collecting critical environmental and animal health data. We will then explore powerful AI and machine learning tools to analyze this data, enabling smarter decision-making for irrigation, pasture rotation, herd management, and predictive maintenance of farm equipment. Attendees will leave with a foundational understanding and practical skills to integrate these cutting-edge technologies into their own operations, fostering efficiency and resilience in the challenging Montana landscape.
