About This hackathon
The Bluegrass AI: Sustainable Distillation Challenge invites developers, data scientists, and innovators to apply artificial intelligence to enhance environmental stewardship within Kentucky's historic distillation industry. Participants will work in teams to design and prototype AI-driven solutions addressing critical areas such as water conservation, energy efficiency in heating and cooling, waste management, and supply chain optimization for grain and spent mash. This event aims to foster a new generation of sustainable practices, leveraging cutting-edge machine learning and data analytics to reduce the ecological footprint of distilleries while maintaining the integrity and quality of their renowned products. Mentors from both the tech sector and the distilling industry will be on hand to guide teams, culminating in presentations where solutions can potentially secure industry interest for further development and implementation across the Bluegrass State.
