About This workshop
This hands-on workshop delves into the practical application of Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things technologies to address the challenges of sustainable agriculture in desert regions. Participants will learn to integrate various sensors for soil moisture, temperature, and nutrient levels, connecting them to cloud platforms for real-time data collection. We will cover fundamental machine learning algorithms for data analysis, crop yield prediction, and automated irrigation scheduling, focusing on open-source tools and platforms like TensorFlow Lite and ESP32 microcontrollers. Attendees will build a small-scale smart farming prototype, gaining invaluable experience in designing and implementing tech solutions for resource-efficient cultivation methods tailored to arid climates. The goal is to empower local innovators, farmers, and tech enthusiasts with the skills to contribute to a more sustainable future for Arizona's agricultural sector through cutting-edge technology.
